There lived in Moygownagh about sixty years ago a priest named Rev. Fr. Kelly.

There lived in Moygownagh about sixty years ago a priest named Rev. Fr.Kelly. He was a parish priest. One day the sherrif and Police came to evict some families. Among them were Dunleavys and McAndrews. Fr. Kelly went to the houses and he would not let the sheriff and Police enter them. He called on the women to fill their aprons with stones to help them hunt them. After a time they had to go. The people are still in their homes.
