    green handkerchief. When she was going home across a field she unearthed a hare. The hare ran into a snare. When she reached the hare she tied the handkerchief round his neck so that she would not forget it while she was taking the wire off his foot. While she was taking the wire off his foot, he jumped out of her hands and ran away. He ran until he reached the Deel river in Corick. Next day he returned to his former den. There were people out looking for him with dogs. The dogs found him and killed him. The handkerchief, money, and tabacco were safe on his neck all the time and they were returned to their owner.
