    There are four corners on my bed,
    There are four Angels o'er it spread,
    Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
    God bless the bed that I lie on,
    Here as I lie down to sleep,
    To God I give my soul to keep,
    If any bad thing comes to me,
    I pray to God to waken me,
    Waken now, or waken never,
    May God receive my soul for ever !
