  1. "Old hat, pay for that"
    There was once a man who went to a fair and he had a cow with him.
    When he arrived at the fair, an old yank came up to him and asked him if he would sell that goat. The yank said "what sort of green-horn are you?" After a long argument the yank said "you might be right." So he sold the cow for seven shillings. After a while the man thought of a plan. He told the yank to wait until he would go for a drink, so off he went. He went into a shop and paid for two drinks. Then he came up to the yank and asked him in for a drink.
