  1. Once upon a time there lived a poor man who had only one cow.
    He made up his mind to sell her at the fair. When the fair day came, he got up very early in the morning and went to the fair.
    As he was going along the road, a wee man came before him. "How much do you want for that cow, Sir?" said the fairy to the owner. "What will you give me?" said the man. "I'll give you a bottle," said the fairy. The man gave the cow, and he got the bottle from the fairy. The fairy told the man how to use it.
