    next day they said they would test their strength. They began to throw stones and rocks. "Crooked Legs" said he would throw a certain big rock down to the parish of Lacken, and the other giant defied him. "Crooked Legs" lifted the rock over his head, and sent it flying through the sky, and it it fell or landed in the mountain district over the village of Gallowshill. It is said to have darkened the sun as it was going through the sky. That rock is only about 200 yards behind my house.
