    necks. The chains are attached to iron-bars which are stuck deep in the ground. There is a name on each tying, the blue cow's tying, the horny cows tying. The calves are tied too and there is a name also on their tyings, the big calfs tying, the grey calfs tying, Peggy's tying and [?] tying.
    We hang a horse-shoe or an ass-shoe in the "cupple" to bring luck on the stock.
