One day it happened that he saw a small little man and he followed him and got hold of him to tell him where there was a pot of gold. The fairy gave him a box which was full of gold. When he went home there was no gold at all in the box; instead of gold, there was a last, an awe, a hammer, and a piece of paper with the words written on it, "A good trade is better than any crock of gold."
