The most harmful weeds growing on farms are thistles, bohalans, dockens and blackheads. The dockens are considered harmful because they spread rapidly through he land which they impoverish in a short time. Thistles are to be found in good land.
Sorrel. This herb is to be found on the potato ridges, it has a long dark green leaf and in it is the cure of a stone-bruise.(continues on next page)
