  1. In this district forts are very common.
    On the lands of Thomas McGowan of Lugmore, there is a fort known as the "Roy".
    Every night there are lights seen going from Pat Kelleher's field where there is another fort to John Thomas McGowans and from there to a fort in Goldfield where they disappear.
    One night as a man who lived near John T. McGowans field was coming home he saw lights in the distance.
