  1. "Ballindoo" was the old name for "Doocastle".
    The following song ws composed by the Cawley brothers, Tom and Jack of Doomore, Doocastle, Co. Mayo.
    They were arrested at James Hunts' corner in Bunninadden on the day of the O'Connor Dunne election for breaking Captain Armstrong's coach. Captain Armstrong was living in Chaffpool House at that time.
    On that day all the "Ballindoo boys" stood in a line across the street and when Armstrong's coach was coming, they blocked the horses and sent him back again to Chaffpool which is
