  1. A Battle in Doocastle
    The Friars who lived in the 'Roy' had a falling out with the occupants of the castle.
    The Friars were helped by the people of the surrounding district and thus were prepared to fight when the occasion arose.
    There were big numbers killed at this battle and the mound where they were buried is still to be seen.
    After this battle the Friars left the 'Roy' and went to Cloonameehan.
