  1. On St Patrick's Day all christian people wear shamrock on their coats or hats. When Irish people are in forign countries their parents or friends send them harps and shamrock. It is not right to drive nails on Good Friday. On Ash Wednesday people drink black tea. It is not right to give a coal or milk or anything away on May day. On St. John's Day all boys gather together and make big heaps of withered whins and bones and turf. At night they light them and they are called bone fires. Each pearson brings a coal and he throws it behind the fire or into the oat's fields. They think that they will have good crops. On St. Martin's Day every house wife kills a fowl and spills the blood in the
