    It was next to sweet Claremorris the wandering cattle came.
    The herds were spent and broken and bowed to earth with shame.
    The peelers thronged around them to baton, stare, and spy
    A thousand came to laugh and chaff but not a man to buy.

    So now I' really thinking when I am old and grey.
    I'll read about those animals in regions far away.
