  1. Some rifles are supposed to be hidden in Belean Lake since the time of the Fenians. A diver came from Dublin once to try to get the rifles but he failed. For many years after they were buried a red light used to be seen in the middle of the water, but after an attempt was made to get them this light disappeared.
