    One day a man named Michael Bones was cutting a bank of turf and he found a pot buried in the bog near Mannin Lake. The pot was embedded in the marl or leac near the lake and was sealed over with this hard substance. He took the pot home and opened it and to his joy found that it was full of gold. This treasure is supposed to have been hidden there in the time of the Danes. This pot of gold was found about
