  1. Food seventy years ago
    Long ago the people had not as good a time as the people have now. Long ago it used to be potatoes for every meal. For the supper at night it used to be buttermilk and potatoes and the same in the morning. Tea and sugar were very dear at that time and the people were not able to buy them. The old people were not able to eat potatoes and used die with the hunger. At Christmas they might get a little tea but that was all And at Easter they might get an egg each. As for any other time of the year they would not get an egg
