  1. About fifteen or twenty years ago there used to be twelve or fifteen side car at a drag. They used to go over to Aughagower in the morning and stay there drinking the whole day till evening When they used to have enough drunk they used to come home. On the way home they to drive mad.
    Sometimes younglads for sport used to put a fire on the side of the road. They used to be so drunk that they used not see the fire. Some of the horses used to pass out but others used to frighten at the fire and jump into the drain on the side of the road.
    Sometimes also people used to have a rope tied accross the road and when the drag used to be coming the horses used to get entangled in
