  1. About forty years ago there was a school at Lattyloo which is situated on the road between Cootehill and Bailieboro. A man named Mr Bernard Reilly taught in it. His home was at Canningstown, Co. Cavan. He used to walk to school every morning and home every evening, which was a distance of fourteen miles each day.
    One day the inspector came and got the school in a bad condition. He told Father Tom Reilly of Cootehill, who was the manager, and he closed the school. After a short time all the neighbours petitioned the parish priest to open the
