  1. The Connacht, (near Ruan) is a very old road and there is a big hill in it and the people from Connacht used to be carting potatoes and cabbage plants to Ennis and they always went that road. They used to put big loads in the horse to know which horse would pull the most. It was there Declare pitched his tents before the battle of Dysart.
    Dromore Road, is leading through Dromore Estate to the village of Ruan, and it is an old road
    The Bog Line, is a very old road and there is a bog on each side of it.
    There is an old path called the Coiscéim and it is a short cut from here to the village of Crusheen.
