  1. About the sixties of the nineteenth century there lived in the townland of Copponagh some three miles B.Boro. a man known as "The Butler" But when he died and passed away that was not the last of him so far as this earthly vale was concerned. Several of the neighbours declared that they had seen him on the road at night. So great was the state of alarm created by the apparition that few people would travel that road after sun-down. This state affairs continued for an appreciable interlude of time but came to an end in dramatic fashion. One night late a man named Paddy Fitzpatrick was (rushed) rushing on foot
