  1. This Lough-in-lea mountain is a very historic place all round. In olden times, during the penal days Mass would be celebrated in the open air, in the corner of a field at a little rock beside the lake, when England had a price on the priests head.
    One day as Mass was finished the soldiers came upon them, so the priest threw the chalice into the lake, so that the soldiers might not get it; and it was said and believed by the
