    About forty years ago there was a football match played between Killann and Shercock in Cahill's meadow which is just outside the town of Bailieboro.
    Twenty one men played on either side and these were picked by getting twenty one of the best footballers in the townland.
    Shercock won by 7 goals and 1 point to nil.
    It was more of a boxing match than a football match.
