  1. A house belonging to Mr. Peter Doyle, Boley Upper, Parish of Craanford, Co. Wexford was burned in 1934. They were burning furze bushes during the day and a spark ignited the thatch. They didn't notice it at all and when they retired to bed and had fallen asleep they heard a call from a neighbouring man. They rose hurriedly and to their surprise they found the roof on fire. It was burned out before it could be quenched. A fine new two-storey dwelling replaces it now.
In the 1932 a portion of Camolin Park was burned by Daniel Doran, Raheen, Parish of Ferns, Co Wexford. He was gathering firewood and he threw a piece of a lighted cigarette on the ground. the withered leaves took fire and several young trees were burned.
The same man burned a rick of hay the property of Mrs. John Doyle, Clonee, Parish of Ferns, Co Wexford. When he was thatching the hay rick he threw a lighted cigarette on the ground and it caught the hay which was burned before the fire could be quenched.
