   Churning
   If you enter a house where churning is going on, you will always be asked to "leave your weight in butter" that is, take a hand in the churning. If you do not churn, no butter may come and you will be said to have "taken" the butter.

   Hallow Eve - "Vizors"
   In this district the young men and boys dress up, and with masks on their faces go round from house to house on Hallow Eve night. They dance and sing and are aways well received and given nuts and apples and sometimes tea. They are called "vizors" in Co. Wicklow but "black men in Co. Wexford.

   Sneezing.
   If someone sneezes the old people say "God bless us" or "God bless the child."

   Entering a House
   When entering a house it used to be the custom here in Co Wicklow to say "God save all here barrin' the cat." but one rarely hears any salution now.
