  1. There are three raths on the land of Mr. Andrew Kinsella - Toberpatrick House - in the parish of Killaveney - townland of Toberpatrick and situated about 4 miles from the town of Tinahely, Co. Wicklow. One in particular on the side of a hill opposite his avenue gate is a particularly fine one. Surrounding the inner enclosure is a high rampant of earth and there is a deep fosse all around the rath.
The remains of another rampant in outer ring may be seen, but this is not in as good condition as the inner embankment. Standing in the circular forse, the earthen walls tower above you from ten to fifteen feet in height. This rath commands a view of the district for miles around. The other two raths on Mr. Kinsella's farm are in the bogs, but all three are within sight of each other.
Another raheen is on Ballythomas hill on Mr John Pierce's farm and close to it a ring in a field belonging to Mr Byrne, Craan. Very little remains of these two beyond the ring. Ballythomas
