  1. A Wexford Lady becomes Reminiscent,
Oh ! how I remember my childhood and our school-days, - the happy days of youth. And when we got our holidays from school, what a happy time. Every year there was a fair in the little village of Killinick on Easter Monday. Every-one, big and little would gather to it. To the school - children, with their pennies and half pence, 'twas the one day of their lives. For months their savings were put by.
The tents would be in a row along the village and they spread out with such lovely ginger-bread figures. Flat squares of ginger-bread, apples, and coloured lemon-drops were to our mind the most delicious daintys on earth. Then there was a strolling fiddler or two, a fife or tambourine - player which was the delight of our hearts.
