  1. Saint Patrick is the patron Saint of this parish. The chapel in this parish is called Saint Patrick's chapel. There is a holy well near the Protestant church in one of Mr. McKeever's fields. It is called St Patrick's well as Saint Patrick is supposed to have knelt and prayed at this well. The tracks of his hands and knees are on a stone near the well. The seventeenth of March is the Saint's feast day. The Protestant church in this parish is also called St Patrick's church.
Saint Patrick is supposed to have passed through Castletown, going to Slane.
