    curious way of living that anone ever heard of. There were tow men & two women living in this old ruin, Each had their own teapot, kettle, cup & saucer, knive, spoon and fork, and room and bed. The most curious part of it was, that they all used to go cut the turf together. Each used to take their own cooking utinsals. One of them would cut and the turf and others would whell out. When dinner time would arrive each would make their own fire and cook their own grub. When the turf would be saved each one of them would bring home a bag of turf for their own use. They were never heard speaking to each other and they wouldn't speak to any neighbours or any friends.
    Eventually one night they all died together, & were buried in the Lisheen Island which is quite near O'Brien's Bridge. Tradition had it that they were quakers. The old ruin became derelict until a nephew of theirs returned from America and had it partly re-built again. He lived there for several years until he died with the measles at the age of 65. The sister then came from america and she married a man named Ryan. They had
