    a stream ran by the fort. Not very far from the stream was an enormous flag of limestone. It was supposed that under this was a jar of valuable jewels. A certain man chanced to find this treasure. At midnight he began his task with a spade pick and axe. Having the stone removed he was startled by a great sound in the hole beneath. Forth from it came a bullock and fire flew through his eyes and mouth.
    The man fled in terror but he and his companions returned to the place a few days later, and the stone was back in it place once more. That is the only story I know.
