- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)a stream ran by the fort. Not very far from the stream was an enormous flag of limestone. It was supposed that under this was a jar of valuable jewels. A certain man chanced to find this treasure. At midnight he began his task with a spade pick and axe. Having the stone removed he was startled by a great sound in the hole beneath. Forth from it came a bullock and fire flew through his eyes and mouth.
The man fled in terror but he and his companions returned to the place a few days later, and the stone was back in it place once more. That is the only story I know. - Once upon a time there was only one fire in the far north lands of the world where it is alwats very cold. All the people of the North loved the fire and could not live without it. They set a man and a boy to watch it in turns all day and all night to put fresh wood on it when it got low and to make(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
