- There are three forges in the parish. There are Smiths in Grinag who have been Smiths for many a year, and they got broke, and the reason why they got broke was they got no work. The forges are situated near the cross - roads. The roof is made of canvas and it is painted with tar. The door is in two haves with henges on each side, and opening in the centre. The bellows is of a round shape made of timber and a iron pipe at one end and a handle in the other. The Smiths implements are the anvil, edger, axe, sledge, and hamer. The Smith shoes horses and asses. The Smith makes all kinds of farm implements. When - the Smith is banding wheels he works in open air. People say its very unlucky to have anything to do with the forge water. All Smiths are generally looked upon as very strong.
