- There is only one tailor in this district who works entirely in his own home. He stocks various kinds of cloth in his house such as tweeds and serge for making Sunday clothes, and cordroy for making working clothes.
The tailor uses many implements when working including a scissors, a lap-board, needles, thread and a pressing iron.
Shirts are made locally from cotton cloth and linen.
Linen is used in making sheets, but it is seldom used in making shirts. Socks and stockings are still made in the district from woollen thread which is bought in the nearest town.- Bailitheoir
