    I have no churn at home but the usual size of a churn is about three feet tall and two feet wide. There are no marks on the side of the churn. There is a lid on every churn and a hole in it for the staff to go down. If strangers come in during the churning they help. Sometimes the people churn with their feet and others with their hands. The people churn once a week in the Winter and twice in the Summer. It takes an hour to churn. The churn is moved from side to side. The people lift up some of the milk with a spoon to see is it done. Water is poured in during the churning. The people lift out the butter with two sticks. The people give the milk to calves and for home use.
