Ar an leathanach seo
- The houses long ago were not as comfortable as those nowadays. There were no chimneys on them, only a hole in the roof. The roofs were thatched or covered with zinc-iron. The windows were very small.
The walls were made of mud and the floors were made of clay. Some of the chimneys were made of clay and grass. Some houses were very badly situated. Some were built on very high hills, in exposed places; and others sunken places. Some were built where the sun never shone on their doors.
