   When she sought her lost health by the breezy Atlantic
   The thoughts of their parting drove Johnny nigh frantic
   Oh [?] Bridget astore if you dont soon get better
   Then down to Kilmurray that churchyard so shady
   They'll bear the pale corpse of your heart broken Reidy
   VII
   But Cupid the love God quite promptly took order
   To bring back the maid from the graves darksome border
   What urged the dear God thus to succour the lady
   Twas the prayers, and the tears, and the signs of poor Reidy.

   Now Cupid be praised for Miss [?] Bridget is blooming
   Consumption no longer her beauty consuming
   She comes from Rossbeigh quite a healthy young lady
   And dark grief it is banished from the fond heart of Reidy
   IX
   And mirth will wax high in the halls of the castle
   When their nupitals are honoured with dance and with wassail [?]
   he'er nay misfortune attend on the lady
   When she is the dear wife of her own Johnny Reidy
