    Australia, one family got a little house i n Kinlough and others remains there still.
    At that time if the landlord saw the tenants going to Mass they were in danger of being put out of their land or at least a field was taken from them. If a dog barked when the landlord was passing the house the dog had to be shot. If he heard a cat brought in a rabbit the cat had to be destroyed.
    In this district a man went round from home and collected a levy from the people for the landlord.
    At that time if your rent was not paid the bailiff came and took a cow or a call or sometimes hen and furniture or any valuable thing that was to be got.
