    and then the churn is turned on one side and the churndash is moved back and over until the butter is gathered together in one heap. After this the butter is taken from the churn and placed in a butter - dish. Clean water is added to the butter in order to extract the butter - milk, and lastly salt is mixed with it to give a good flavour.
