  1. Here is a story an old man told me. There was an old man who lived in the village of Streamstown. His name was Dennis Shirden, he was a shoe maker. When times got bad in Ireland, he sailed from Westport Quay in what they called coffin ships to Australia, and in years after two of his sons came to Ireland, and they asked an old man in the village to show them the old shack where their father, was born.
