    A Story
    This story was told by and old man who lives in our locality and who used to call into our house occasionally in the winter nights. We used to gather around him and get him to tell us stories of ghosts and fairies. His name is Mr. Peter Higgins. He lives well up on the mountain in a neat farmhouse and his stories are from his parents.
    In Peter's childhood lived an old man called "The Dane" by nickname. His land is quite near this school and is now in possession of of Mr. Patrick Terence Masterson. The walls of the house are still there and the Dane's lane although grass grown is there too.
