  2. We have a churn at home. It is about three and a half feet in height. The churn is about two feet in width at the top and about two and a half feet in width at the bottom. The sides of it are round. It is about five years old. The parts of the churn are, the lagan, the crib and the lid. There is no mark on the side or bottom of the churn. Butter is made three times each week in summer and once a week in winter. In summer the churning is done by a horse and a churning machine and in winter it is done by hand
