  1. Roads
There is a very old road in Tinnamuck. It leads from Prospect House in Ballycumber to the spire of Tinnamuck. It is called the Green Road because the green grass was never taken off it. It was made in the year 1811 by Richard Holmes.
Richard Holmes employed men for two pence per day to make the road. It is only a byway now.
In those years years Richard Holmes gathered the rent from the people of Tinnamuck. He came along that in a carriage drawn by two horses.
Before bridges were made the rivers were crossed by the stepping stones in the shallow places. Sometimes they were crossed by fords.
