Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Ellentown is my home district. It is in the parish of Delvin, in the barony of Delvin. There are five families making up about thirty two people. Larkin is the most common name. The houses are all slated. Anne Larkin is over seventy. She cannot tell stories in Irish. She cannot speak any Irish at all. The land is hilly.
There are several wood's, namely, Padna Hogan's, Mitchelstown and the Round Clump. There is a corner of a field called "Hangman's Corner" where a man hanged himself, and there is a pool called "Footman's Pool," where a footman from Clonyn Castle drowned himself. There is a river called Larkin's river and it is a tributary of Mangan's river which is a tributary of the Boyne Ellentown, the part of it I live in, is called Bell's Hollow.
