  2. There is a fairy fort in my district. It is called a moat. It is in the townland of Moortown. It is not in view of another fort. It is in the form of a circle. There is a fence around it. There is a story attached to the moat. Once there was a man digging in the moat. When he had a hole a foot deep dug the spade was pulled out of his hand and it went down under the ground.
