You may talk of Columbus sailing,
    Across the Atlantic sea,
But if you ever want to go railing,
From Ennis as far as Kilkee,
You will start for the train in the morning,
The excursion train starting at eight,
You will be there when the clock gives its warning,
And there for an hour you must wait,
And while you sit waiting for the train,
You will hear the guard sing this refrain,
Do you think we will get there before its night,
It all depends on the weather,
If the old engine keeps together,
And it might now Michael so it might,
