  1. There is a very old mill which belonged to the Landlord, Lord Haywarden situated in Ballintemple at the cross - roads going to Knockavilla and Donaskeigh
The mill was worked by water and was used for various things. They used to cut timber there. They had a pulper worked by the water power and used to pulp turnips for the 60 cows which he kept. The mill is three stories high. In it they used to store quantities of oats. Every bag was hauled up by a big pulley which was also worked by water,
In the spring time when the oats would be on the loft, the rats used be eating it. They put on the pulper and hunted the rats into it and pulped them up.
The mill is not used now, and there is nothing left but the walls.
