- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Some years ago a man went to the court house to licence his dog. The clerk asked him what was the colour of the dog. The man said"breac". How do you spell that? "Ah" said he "put it town as it is". There was once a farmer's wife who had a man working on the farm. One day she said to the man would you eat a little egg, Jack. Begor mam, said he, I knew a man who ate two of them and he is alive yet.
- This story is told in the townland of Corgangan. A thatcher was thatching a house one day. When he went in for his dinner the woman of the house asked him how he would like his egg boiled. He said "With another egg". She said "Very well, I will boil it with my own".
