  1. A Crock of Gold 6
Once upon a time there lived a poor man who was building a new house. His only trouble was he had no stones to build the house. So he went away in search of a few loads of stones.
There was an old ruined house near him so he went to work to root the stones. He had a few stones lifted when lo! a gleam of light caught his eyes, he lifted the crock of gold opened it and found it was full to the brim of gold. He was a rich man ever after and he and his wife built a lovely new house.
