  1. Fairy Animals
There are beautiful lakes in a mountain about four miles from Ballymacarbry. These lakes are called "The Nire Lakes". There is a fairy horse living in this lake. He comes out of the lake at daybreak every morning and grazes on the beautiful green pasture surrounding the lake. He is a beautiful steed of steel grey colour.
As soon as he sees anyone he dissappears immediately into the lake.
