  1. Fairy Animals
There was once a fairy cow and two calves in Clonmel. From 12 oclock (midnight) 'til four every morning she was seen there. She was a white cow and was very big and cross and ugly looking and the two calves were not less ugly looking than her. She had high horns and a black nose and two big eyes and anyone that ever saw her said she used to grin like a bull.
Everybody was afriad to go out after dark in fear that they might meet her. A band of men often tried to hunt her but they always failed. It is supposed that she is there still.
