Some time ago a local farmer took a very old and skinny cow to the fair in Mitchelstown.

Some time ago a local farmer took a very old and skinny cow to the fair in Mitchelstown. He was not long there when a buyer came along and striking the cow a wallop on the back said
"How much for the old hearse, my man?"
"That depends on the journey" said the farmer.
He did not succeed in selling her to that buyer but later on another man appeared on the scene and says he to the farmer
"How much for the sleepy one". "What will you bid me for her". "Thirty bob" says the buyer "I wouldn't wake her up for it" says the farmer.
